We have appointed Tony Stirk as our Gas Engine Specialist to support the growth of our CHP (combined heat and power) gas power generation product offering.

Bringing with him almost 20 years experience in the gas CHP sector, Tony will initially support the business with the provision of technical expertise in respect of CHP and gas engines as we drive forward this area of the business.

Back in August, we announced our partnership with 2G Energy, a leading international manufacturer of combined and heat and power plant (CHP) for the decentralised provision of power and heat with an electrical output of 20 to 4,500 kW.

Billy Myers, Aftermarket Director at DTG, said: “As we extend our product portfolio, this new role will encompass a mix of service engineering and technical support to the project delivery and sales teams, as well as the development of the aftermarket offering for CHP and gas generation. Tony's wealth of experience will bring confidence to the business as we embark on this exciting stage of our gas journey.”

Prior to joining DTG, Tony was the Northern Area Service Manager for Cogenco/Veolia CHP where he was a hands-on CHP area service manager covering Scotland, Ireland and Northern England. During this time Tony managed a small team responsible for maintaining approximately 75 gas turbines and biogas engines.
