This continual growth means the company will continue to see a return on the money invested last year in premises, facilities and staff.

SALES ESTIMATOR

Dieselec Thistle Generators Limited is the leading generator specialist in the UK.  The business is growing and requires a driven individual to fill the role of sales estimator.

Reporting directly to the Sales Director, you will be an integral part of the sales team and will play an important role in quoting and winning work.

Industry specific training will be provided but the ideal candidate will be a pro-active, experienced estimator / sales person from the electrical, mechanical or plant installation sector with commercial and engineering skills.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, decipher, and quote for clients generator requirements.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers and other staff on design, cost and project programme requirements.
  • Liaise with a range of specialist suppliers for prices of ancillary equipment and work on your own to develop solutions and ensure content and quality of output produced is in line with the design brief.
  • Liaise with project delivery teams to ensure orders are passed over with clarity and easy to understand instruction on what is required.
  • Manage and respond to all client communications

Requirements

  • Electrical or mechanical engineering skills.
  • Experience in electrical / mechanical / mechanical plant industry
  • Strong commercial focus
  • Determination to succeed and strong work ethic
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
    • Strong problem solving and ability to multi-task
    • Excellent communication skills both face to face and on telephone
    • Flexible and motivated team player

GRADUATE SALES ESTIMATOR

Dieselec Thistle Generators Limited is the leading generator specialist in the UK.  The business is growing and requires a driven electrical or mechanical engineering graduate to fill the role of sales estimator.

Reporting directly to the Sales Director, you will be an integral part of the sales team and will play an important role in quoting and winning work.

Training will be provided and the ideal candidate will be a pro-active, self-starter with an interest in both sales and mechanical or electrical engineering.
