Generator Service Engineer

Location

Glasgow Head Office

Due to continued growth, we require experienced generator service engineers. Based at our Glasgow head office, you will be required to carry out planned servicing, repair and breakdown response work at customer sites across Scotland on generators from 10kVA – 2500kVA.

You will have:

- Served a recognised apprenticeship as an electrical or mechanical engineer
- Strong knowledge of all electrical and mechanical aspects of generator power installations
- First class customer facing skills
- Good communication skill
- Ability to obtain Disclosure Scotland certification
- Flexibility to meet requirements of service operations.
- Relevant experience in a similar role

Duties to include:

- Maintenance on generators to include all relevant electrical and mechanical testing
- Fault diagnosis and rectification
- Installation of temporary generators
- Load bank towing and testing
- Participation in the company on call rota
- Complete and submit accurate reports in a timely manner

Stores Assistant

We are the UK’s largest authorised FG Wilson dealership and specialise in the sale, installation and service of diesel generators across the UK. Due to continued growth, we have a vacancy for a Stores Assistant; this position will be based at our Glasgow head office.

The main purpose of this role is to support all departments with their store's requirements and ensure all incoming and outgoing goods are receipted accurately.

Roles:

- Preparation of purchase orders on the stock system and liaising with suppliers in relation to order fulfilment
- Receiving / Inspecting goods into the warehouse, retaining appropriate evidence of delivery and updating stock control system on a timely basis
- Fulfilment of internal parts requests from service/parts departments (downloading parts request from stock system, picking and delivering parts, updating the movement on the stock system)
- Preparation and dispatch of goods to customers, liaising with courier/hauliers, obtaining appropriate evidence of delivery, and updating the stock control system on a timely basis
- Offloading generators and associated equipment
- Leading and participating in cyclical stock counts

Skills:

- Computer literate and experience in using stock control systems e.g. SAP, Tesseract
- Forklift licence preferred but not essential (training may be given)
- Must be able to work using own initiative and as part of a team
- Driving licence
